RichFood Group is a family-run catering business in Singapore, known for bringing joy to every celebration with their tagline: “Celebrate Special Moments with Affordable Buffet Catering in Singapore.” From birthdays and weddings to festive holidays, RichFood delivers buffet, mini buffet, and bento sets designed for every occasion. Our task was to create a modern eCommerce website that translates their extensive menu options into an effortless online ordering experience. The platform needed to accommodate large-scale catering orders with dish-by-dish customization, minimum pax requirements, and delivery zone logic—ensuring customers could confidently plan their events with clarity and convenience.

Challege

The biggest challenge was mapping a traditional catering process, usually handled through phone calls or printed menus, into a digital-first platform. Each product category carried unique rules—buffet packages requiring a minimum number of pax, diverse dish selections across rice, chicken, fish, desserts, and drinks, and multiple menu variations in each dish type. Customers also had to navigate complex delivery conditions, with standard, surcharge, and no-delivery zones. On the backend, the client required easy management of these dynamic menus while ensuring that orders remained precise, organized, and operationally feasible for large events and festive peaks.

Solution

We developed a WooCommerce-based eCommerce platform with a tailored ordering system that mirrors RichFood’s catering structure. Customers can seamlessly select buffet type, fulfill minimum pax requirements, and customize their menus by choosing from curated dish categories like chicken, fish, and desserts. Each selection is validated to meet the package rules, minimizing errors. A delivery zone module ensures accurate pricing by postcode, automatically applying surcharges or restricting unavailable areas. On the backend, we streamlined product management with preset templates for different packages, enabling staff to update menus with ease. The final website empowers RichFood to scale online, enhance customer convenience, and extend their family-oriented brand experience digitally.
